As I reached Trivandrum thursday night and started my journey to home, I saw the remenants of the grand Attukal Pongala Festival, which had culminated the same day, at every corner throughout my route. Watching all the lihght decorations, small art installations, used bricks on the curb sides, etc., slipped me right into a deep wonder about the beginning of it all. As a child who grew up outside Kerala, I was hardly in touch with my roots but as an adult who is trying to reconnect with it, there are moments like these that leaves me awestruck like a child.So many questions popped into my mind, " What is the fable behind this festival?
